The iconic Brazilian brand made the investment to step into AK Pop-Up to debut their range of Havaianas flip-flops and sandals. With AK Pop-UP being located only two blocks from the sand of world-famous Venice Beach the theme was a match. All the fashion items and the experiential space were reimagined by designer Joshua Vides, in his signature black-and-white illustration style. Vides performed live mural paintings as collectors snapped up the limited edition line. The return on investment for Havaianas was just over 300% and the art-styled 3D coconut tree facade helped gain P.R. coverage across multiple trade and fashion magazines, as well as valuable social media awareness.
